For a while I could imagine a Zelda game set in a futuristic Hyrule. With Epona as a red hoverbike and Link zooming by and slashing enemies out of the skyscraper-cluttered sky of future Hyrule. So I drew up what I thought Link and Epona would look like in the future, with Link’s shield now being a sort of energy shield, but the Master Sword still being the same, and him being paired up with the last fairy still alive thousands of years in the future. A keen observer may note that the moon and triangle patches on the front of Link’s jacket appear on the Fierce Deity from Majora’s Mask.
